Moore Designs
is owned and operated by Deborah and David Moore, and has been
providing services to small businesses since 1996. To date, we
have created more than 500 web sites for a variety of clients
from all over the world. Our main business presence is in the
US, but we have provided services to clients as far away as Abu
Dhabi, Scotland, Australia and Spain; to name just a few.
Moore Designs focus is, and always has been, to provide
exceptional services to our clients for very reasonable rates.
We believe that having a professional web site should not be out
of reach for even the smallest home-based business. We
understand that there are many web design firms that are focused
on serving companies with large product lines and budgets to
match. Our focus is to provide options for any size and scope of
business, without compromising on quality or expertise.
Our company is
small, which allows us to keep our prices reasonable for our
clients. We are proud of our many long-term relationships with
clients who have been with us since "Day 1". We take a
one-on-one approach; working with our clients every step of the
way to ensure that they have a web site that they are proud of,
and that works for them. We understand that not everyone has the
time or resources to keep up on the latest trends in computers
and the Internet, and we do our best to help our clients
understand and adjust to this ever-changing environment.
Meet Our Staff:
Debbie Moore
Debbie
has more than 19 years' experience as a professional advertising
copy writer and voice-over artist, and has been designing web
sites for more than 10 years. Debbie studied Broadcast Journalism
at Mount Royal College in Calgary, and focused her studies on
advertising and promotion, creative writing and commercial
production. Throughout the years, she has worked in both radio
and television, and was creative director for a large
telecommunications firm for four years before embarking on her
"Internet adventure" with Moore Designs. As an avid pet lover,
Debbie is particularly fond of working with kennel and cattery
owners in developing web sites, and says there's nothing more
fun than looking at photos of cute dogs and cats all day long.
Dave Moore
Dave
is a professionally trained graphic designer and cartoonist with
a flair for creating fresh, fun and definitely one-of-a-kind
graphics. Dave is Debbie's husband, and has been working
with Debbie at Moore Designs for the past 8 years. His cartoons
and designs have added a special touch to many of our web sites,
and feature some really neat pet cartoons with character!
Dave studied
Geography and Education at Memorial University, and worked as a
high school teacher for a few years before answering his "true
calling" in graphic design. Dave enrolled in an IT program five
years ago to augment his computer skills, and is knowledgeable
in a number of programming languages including html, perl and
java. A native of St. John's, Newfoundland, Dave successfully
lured Debbie from Calgary to his Island home in 1997, and the
two have been making beautiful web sites together ever since.

Shannon Fisher
Shannon
joined our team in 2003. She is an accomplished web site
designer, writer, graphic designer and artist, and we have been
thrilled with her fresh approach and creative designs. Shannon
has a degree in Communications from Ryerson University in
Toronto, Ontario, and has numerous certificates and training in
all facets of online design. Shannon has produced some great web
sites for our clients, including
Kasebri Cattery,
Cavalier's Castle
and Foxglove Guest
House, to name a few.
Doug "The Updates Guy"
Doug
is our perennial "Employee of the Month" here at Moore Designs.
He is our "updates guy", always ready to change an e-mail
address or add a photo with a wink and a smile. His discerning
eye, close attention to detail and impeccable organizational
skills have helped keep all of our web sites in perfect working
condition over the past few years, and we look forward to Doug
working with us for years to come.
Hambone (L) and Scrunchion (R) Moore

These
two are a handful, but they keep life interesting here at Moore
Designs. Hambone insists that we get up and "dance" with him
several times a day, and is particularly fond of Salsa music.
Scrunchion, Hambone's evil sidekick, is cute and fluffy, but
don't let that fool you. He is a tough little monkey and keeps
us all in line around here. Scrunchie also does the odd
modeling job for our clients, many of whom sell dog-related
products.
In Loving Memory of "Batman" Moore
1992 -
November, 2003
Batman,
or "Batty" as he was known to those close to him, was our staff
coordinator from 1997 through November, 2003. From his
comfortable post under Debbie's desk, he was able to ensure that
we took adequate breaks from the computer and adhered to proper
mealtimes. Batman came to us in 1997 from the Canadian Chihuahua
Rescue and Transport organization, who rescued him from a
Vermont "puppy mill". Despite having a rough start in
life, Batty was, without a doubt, the world's most spoiled
Chihuahua. He often received "care packages" of goodies from our
clients, and was particularly fond of the delicacies sent to him
by Sonia at The
Paw-risian Bistro. Batman enjoyed chasing cats,
stealing their toys and belly scratches, and aspired to become
the "spokesdog" for Pizza Hut. (He loved pizza crusts!)
We miss you, Buddy!
